Egypt Warns Against Participation in Palestinian Relocation Plans

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing concern over the Israeli regime’s discussions with certain countries regarding hosting Palestinians, issued a warning against participation in any Palestinian relocation plans.

According to Rokna, citing Al Jazeera, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in a statement: “We are following with great concern the recent reports about Israeli consultations with certain countries regarding the relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to their territories.”

The statement continued: “Our contacts indicate that the concerned countries have opposed hosting Palestinians and any relocation plans. We also reiterate our firm opposition to any Israeli plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank and our refusal to participate in it.”

The statement further emphasized: “We warn against participation in Palestinian relocation plans and call on the international community not to intervene, as such actions constitute a war crime and racial discrimination.”

Earlier, the Associated Press reported that the United States and the Israeli regime had proposed to three African countries—Sudan, Somalia, and the Somaliland region—to accommodate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip on their soil.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly also stressed the preservation of Palestine’s territorial integrity in the West Bank and Gaza under the leadership of the Palestinian Authority.

He added that Egypt, Qatar, and the United States will continue efforts to mediate and return to ceasefire negotiations to end the war.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad Movement issued a statement declaring that imposing the relocation of Gaza’s people amid their suffering—including hunger, killings, and displacement—constitutes a continuing crime against humanity.

Additionally, Reuters reported, citing sources, that South Sudan and Israel are reportedly seeking an agreement to transfer Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to this African country.

In response, the South Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement rejecting any such reports, calling them baseless and unfounded.

It should be noted that Arab countries have repeatedly opposed any forced relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
