Al-Araji in Meeting with Larijani:
Larijani Visits Iraq to Discuss Iran-Iraq Security Agreement
Rokna Political Desk: Al-Araji and Larijani discussed the implementation of the signed security agreement between Iraq and Iran, the regional security situation, the crimes of the Zionist regime, and the hunger and slaughter of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Qasim Al-Araji, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, during a meeting with Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, said: The Iraqi government is seriously striving to prevent any security violations aimed at aggression against any of its neighboring countries.
Al-Araji’s office announced about this meeting that Larijani praised the great role of the Iraqi people in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and described the Iraqi people as "brave and generous," adding that the road to Karbala today stands as a testament to the generosity of the Iraqis.
The office explained that during this meeting, the implementation of the security agreement signed between the two countries was also discussed. They also addressed the regional security situation and the crimes of hunger and massacre of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the "importance of international community action to stop these crimes."
Larijani also commended the Iraqi government, its balanced foreign policy, and the resulting security and stability in Iraq and the region.
According to the official Iraqi news agency, Qasim Al-Araji today (Monday) held talks with Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, regarding cooperation and coordination between Iraq and Iran.
A reporter from the Iraqi news agency (WAA) reported that “Qasim Al-Araji, National Security Advisor, welcomed Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, at Baghdad Airport.”
He added: “The two sides discussed cooperation and joint coordination between Iraq and Iran.”
Ali Larijani traveled to Iraq this morning—Monday—in his first official visit and is scheduled to visit Lebanon after Iraq.
The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council arrived in Iraq this morning and was welcomed at Baghdad Airport by Qasim Al-Araji, Iraq’s National Security Advisor.
Following the official reception, Ali Larijani paid respects at the revered shrine of martyrs Major General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Iraq this morning, Monday, 20 Mordad 1404 (11 August 2025), on his first official visit, initially to Iraq and subsequently scheduled to travel to Lebanon.
