Afghan Man Flees After Throwing Acid on His Sister

According to Rokna, yesterday, an Afghan woman filed a complaint with the police accusing her brother of acid attack. She stated:
“I had been having severe conflicts with my brother for a long time, and he constantly caused trouble for me. One night, he came to our house, and when we argued again, he suddenly poured the contents of a container he was holding onto my face and fled. The substance caused an immediate intense burning sensation, and I screamed ‘I’m burning! I’m burning!’ Neighbors came to help me and took me to the hospital.”

She continued:
“While I was at the hospital, my brother sent a message saying that if I filed a complaint, he would kill me. Out of fear, I stayed silent. But after some time, I realized my eyes had been severely damaged and I had become partially blind. My brother also fled, and I suspect he has gone to Afghanistan. That is why I decided to file a complaint.”

Following the woman’s complaint, a criminal investigator ordered the start of an official investigation, which is being carried out by detectives from the 16th Department of the Criminal Investigation Police.
