Brave 20-Year-Old Iranian Soldier’s Heroic Stand Against Israeli Drone in Tabriz, Revealed by His Mother
Rokna: The bravery of an Iranian soldier during an Israeli drone attack on the Martyr Tajelayi Barracks in Tabriz immortalized his name through his sacrifice in defending the homeland. The poignant account from his mother now stands as the most striking testament to valor in the face of the enemy.

According to Rokna, a drone attack targeted the Martyr Tajelayi Barracks in Tabriz, an event that played a memorable role in the history of Iran’s defensive wars. On the morning of June 21 (31 Khordad), Israeli drones, carrying out their mission, launched extensive attacks on this military site, shattering the morning silence with explosions.
One of the bravest individuals present was a young soldier who had started his day ordinarily but ultimately became an eternal hero. Mohammad Hossein, a 20-year-old soldier and the barracks’ cook, after distributing breakfast to the soldiers, prepared to face his destiny. This seemingly calm day quickly turned into a battlefield as the drone attacks commenced.
The Martyrdom of Commanders and Mohammad Hossein’s Response
According to Mohammad Hossein’s mother, the Israeli drones launched
their coordinated attacks. In a heartbreaking moment, one drone succeeded in firing at a vehicle carrying two newly arrived commanders of the barracks, resulting in their martyrdom.
This scene deeply affected Mohammad Hossein. He rushed toward the commanders, and upon noticing the dangerously close proximity of a drone, bravely picked up the fallen commander’s weapon. Without hesitation, he fired at the drone in an attempt to stop the continued assault.
However, the situation was extremely perilous. The drone had come so close to Mohammad Hossein that an explosion occurred during his shooting. The gathering shrapnel caused the brave soldier to lose his life in this confrontation.
Conversations and Moments of Mohammad Hossein
Mohammad Hossein’s mother, her heart full of sorrow yet pride, recounts the last days of her son’s life. She states: Mohammad Hossein was born on May 15, 2005 (25 Ordibehesht 1384) in Sarab city and was laid to rest on June 23, 2025 (2 Tir 1404) at the Martyrs’ Cemetery of Abres village, Sarab.
Mohammad Hossein was a fearless man who, in the early days of the war, decided to return to the barracks, demonstra
ting his love for defending the nation. He had emphasized that hiding at home while the country needed its defenders was unacceptable to him.
His final days were also spent amid heartfelt phone calls from his mother. On their last phone call, he said one of his friends had been martyred in enemy attacks and tearfully informed his mother of this loss. On the morning of the incident, the mother’s attempts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful, and hours later, the news of her son’s martyrdom was delivered by his wife and another son.
Although the loss of Mohammad Hossein weighed heavily on the family, his mother finds solace in the fact that her son sacrificed his soul for the homeland and that his name will remain alive in the memory of history as a living hero.
