Cairo Works to Restart Tehran-Washington Negotiations
Rokna Political Desk: Egypt’s Foreign Minister announced that his country is striving to facilitate the resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Washington on Iran’s nuclear program by establishing communication channels between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stated that his country is working to enable the resumption of talks between Tehran and Washington regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, said on Wednesday that his country will host an international conference to discuss the reconstruction of Gaza as soon as a ceasefire is achieved.
In an interview with Sputnik, he added that the expansion of military operations in Gaza would be catastrophic, and therefore efforts to strengthen ceasefire negotiations must be intensified.
Regarding cooperation between the IAEA and Iran, Abdelatty stated that Egypt is working to establish channels between the parties and to facilitate the resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
He further noted that talks with Ethiopia over the Renaissance Dam have reached an impasse and emphasized that Cairo will take measures under international law to safeguard Egypt’s water interests in the event of any damages.
Yesterday evening, Abdelatty held a phone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to discuss the resumption of cooperation between the parties and the revival of nuclear negotiations.
