Mehran Zeinatbakhsh Passes Away; The Art World in Shock

He was a graduate of the filmmaking program at the Ferdows Garden Film Education Center and began his artistic career in 1986. Over the years, he worked in various fields including photography, cinematography, and acting. Zeinatbakhsh held significant roles in numerous artistic disciplines such as screenwriting, documentary filmmaking, and the production of promotional films.

Renowned Documentaries by Zeinatbakhsh
His name is closely associated with two notable documentaries: My Village (Ghariyeh-ye Man), which portrays the life of Fereydoun Foroughi, and Snow (Barf), a documentary that captures the life of Farhad Mehrad. These works stand out as some of his most distinguished contributions to the documentary genre.

After battling illness for some time, Zeinatbakhsh passed away on July 28. His death has left a significant impact on Iran’s artistic and cultural circles.
