Iran’s New Decision; A Lesson the United States and Israel Will Not Forget

Abdel Bari Atwan, a prominent Arab world analyst, on Friday released a video message emphasizing that a US war against Iran is a deception and constitutes psychological warfare.

Atwan believes that the United States has never had the capability to change the system in Iran and continued: The question is whether, with several aircraft carriers, the United States can change Iran’s system. This will certainly not happen.

Referring to Iran’s awareness of America’s weaknesses and its understanding that a comprehensive war is a point of vulnerability for the United States, he stressed: In the event of a US attack, the entire West Asia region will be set ablaze, and we will see resistance groups enter the battlefield. All of these groups are ready to enter the war.

Atwan considered the entry of resistance groups into the war inevitable and said: It is not unlikely that resistance groups will move toward Israel’s borders (occupied Palestine), whether through the borders of Jordan or Lebanon. He also referred to Iran’s upcoming military exercise and said: On Sunday, we will witness a joint exercise by Iran, Russia, and China in the Strait of Hormuz. This means a global oil crisis and could push oil prices to 200 dollars. Likewise, Trump will not be able to achieve any objective with a symbolic strike.

Atwan linked fluctuations in global gold and silver prices to these threats, stating: When Trump raised the issue of war against Iran, we witnessed an increase in oil, gold, and silver prices, but today gold and silver have declined abnormally. This indicates that the issue of war has somewhat receded. Therefore, the cowardly Trump has concluded that he is incapable of changing Iran’s system and would only place 55 of his country’s bases at risk of attack.
