“Human Hunting Tour” in Bosnia; A Terrifying and Extreme
Rokna Political Desk: The revelation of a human-hunting tour in 1990s Bosnia has resurfaced: wealthy individuals, by making substantial payments, reportedly joined Serbian forces to target Bosnian victims. Prosecutors have now launched an investigation to identify those responsible.
The public prosecutor’s office in Milan has officially opened an inquiry to bring to justice those involved in these human-hunting tourism programs during the 1990s. These individuals were not without influence or powerful connections, and pursuing them may prove far from simple. But what did they do?
For years during the Bosnian genocide, a recreational tour was organized for affluent clients who, by paying significant sums, were given the “golden” and unprecedented opportunity to travel to Bosnia and hunt Bosnians in the streets, in coordination with Serbian forces. What African big-game hunting tours provided for wealthy Westerners was replicated in Europe—this time allowing them to target human beings rather than animals.
