Israel Preparing to Attack Iran / The Next War Will Be Broader and More Complex

According to Rokna, citing Euronews: Baghdad Al-Youm, citing Iranian sources, has claimed that in recent months the United States has increased the qualitative level of the weapons provided to Israel and, through expediting the delivery of penetrative munitions and advanced interception systems, is implementing a contract valued at more than 10 billion dollars.

These sources emphasized that these measures are interpreted within Iran as Israel’s practical preparation for a second phase of attacks, whether limited or extensive.

According to these sources, Washington is simultaneously exerting increasing pressure on Beirut to disarm Hezbollah and has informally set a 60-day deadline for taking steps toward curbing the group’s capabilities.

According to these sources, Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense (War), during his recent trip to Baghdad, directly conveyed a message indicating that any response from Iraqi groups to a potential attack against Iran would be met with an unprecedented reaction.

According to the report by Baghdad Al-Youm, assessments indicate that a potential Israeli attack may occur before the end of the current year, and there are signs that the next war will be broader and more complex than the first round.

The newspaper, quoting the aforementioned sources, added that Israel is concerned that any delay in a renewed attack would give Iran more time to address its weaknesses from the previous confrontation.
Rouhani’s Warning on the Decline of Iran’s Deterrence

Euronews continued in its report: Hassan Rouhani, the former President of Iran, recently stated that Iran, five months after the 12-day war, remains in a state of “neither war nor peace,” and warned of the possibility of renewed attacks by Israel and the United States, saying that Iran currently does not possess “broad deterrence” in the region.

In a meeting with former ministers of his administrations, Hassan Rouhani described Israel as a “strong-clawed and dangerous enemy,” and said: “In the 12-day war, we resisted and stood firm, but we also suffered blows and faced difficulties. Of course, we also dealt blows to the enemy, but that does not mean it will not happen again. Preventing repetition is in our hands. This means that if we preserve unity and national cohesion within our society, then under those conditions we can stand against the enemy.”

The former Iranian President added: “Israel moves freely and without defense up to our borders, in space and in the sky. They ask how far Israel is from Iran; today, distance is no longer the issue. Along the route, whenever needed, it receives fuel from an air tanker, and there is no longer a problem of distance. The aircraft takes off and refuels near Iran; that is no problem for it. The sky up to Iran has become completely safe for the enemy.”

Rouhani added: “Unfortunately, we currently do not have broad deterrence; that is, our neighboring countries—Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan—all of their airspace is unfortunately entirely under the control of the United States and Israel.”

Hassan Rouhani, referring to Israel’s technological superiority over Iran in the 12-day war, said: “It became clear in this 12-day war that the war is a technological one. It is not an ordinary war. In fact, they brought various forms of the latest technologies to the battlefield, and we must be advanced in all technologies.”

He added: “One of the very important matters is that we must have an accurate assessment of our own power in relation to the enemy’s power. If we falsely claim that we are a great power and possess everything, while the opposing side is miserable and weak and has nothing, this is dangerous.”

Hassan Rouhani also said: “The greatest betrayal to leaders is that we distort realities, whether by inflating or diminishing them—that is, seeing ourselves as large and our enemies as small. We must recognize that we have strong-clawed enemies. We have dangerous enemies.”
