Rokna Political Desk: The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected reports regarding the evacuation of U.S. military bases in Qatar and Bahrain, emphasizing that no relocation or evacuation has taken place at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar or at U.S. bases in Bahrain.
According to Rokna, the United States Central Command on Saturday denied claims concerning the evacuation of American bases in Qatar and Bahrain.
A correspondent for NewsNation wrote in a post on the social media platform X that CENTCOM informed him that no evacuation has occurred at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar or at any of the U.S. bases in Bahrain, and that the reports in this regard are not accurate.
The New York Times reported on Friday, citing Pentagon officials, that hundreds of troops have now been evacuated from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and that the number of personnel at the complex of U.S. bases in Bahrain — which hosts the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet — has also been reduced.
