Member of Parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee:
Europe Must Pay the Price for Labeling the IRGC as Terrorist / Iran’s Counter-Response Is Certain
Rokna Political Desk: A member of the Planning, Budget, and Accounting Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, reacting to the recent decision by the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, emphasized that Europe must be held accountable for this action and understand that such a decision will not come without consequences.
According to Rokna’s parliamentary correspondent, Majid Doust-Ali, in response to the EU’s recent decision to label the IRGC as a terrorist organization, stated: “The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is not an ordinary military group; it is a military organization derived from the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The representative of Kerman and Ravar in the Twelfth Parliament added: “Labeling an army and combat organization belonging to a nation as terrorist is nothing but a bitter joke and reflects either the ignorance or the ill intentions of European decision-makers.”
He emphasized: “Europeans must certainly answer for this action. According to the law, we have explicitly declared that if the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of the Islamic Republic of Iran is considered terrorist by them, the armies of those countries will also be regarded as terrorist organizations in our view.”
Doust-Ali stressed: “Europe must understand that such decisions carry consequences and that it must pay the price for this hostile and illegal approach.”
