Egypt Warns Against Efforts to Alter Palestine’s Geography

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stated that his country would not accept any changes to the demographic and geographic composition of Palestinian lands.

According to Rokna, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stressed on Saturday the urgent need to launch efforts for rebuilding the Gaza Strip and providing humanitarian support to the Palestinian people.

He also completely rejected any attempts to impose unilateral solutions, alter the demographic and geographic composition of Palestinian territories, or forcibly displace the people of the country. Abdelatty made these remarks during a speech at the Second “Russia-Africa Partnership Forum” in Cairo, emphasizing that Egypt, from the standpoint of its historical responsibility toward African and Middle Eastern affairs, has played an important role in resolving regional crises and conflicts.

These remarks coincide with ongoing mediator talks in the city of Miami, United States, while resistance groups demand a halt to Israeli aggressions and the implementation of the second phase of the agreement.

Despite the ceasefire agreement taking effect on October 10, repeated Israeli violations have resulted in the deaths of over 400 Palestinians and injuries to hundreds more.

Abdelatty, highlighting Egypt’s role in the Gaza ceasefire, concluded by stating that Cairo supports a two-state solution in Palestine and the establishment of an independent country on its lands.
