The Foreign Minister of Iran said: “Any act of aggression by the Zionist regime will have dire consequences for it.”

According to Rokna, Seyed Abbas Araghchi in an interview with Al Jazeera stated: “We are prepared at all levels, at the highest readiness, and Israel will suffer another defeat in any future war. We gained significant experience from our previous war and tested our missiles in a real battle. If the Zionist regime undertakes any act of aggression, the consequences for it will be severe.”
“We prevented the expansion of war in the region,” he continued. He emphasized: “Israel sought to expand the war by targeting our oil facilities. We managed the war with Israel well and prevented its spread in the region.”
He added that “Israel would not have started a war against Iran without the green light from the United States,” and called Benjamin Netanyahu a war criminal, stating that the region has proved that Israel is its real enemy.
On the issue of the nuclear programme and negotiations, the minister said: “We are ready for talks to allay concerns about our nuclear programme and are confident about its peaceful nature. A just deal is possible, but Washington put forward unacceptable and impossible conditions. We will never negotiate on our missile programme and no sensible person accepts disarmament. We cannot stop uranium enrichment and what was not achieved by war will not be achieved by policy. We do not seek direct negotiations with Washington but we can reach an agreement for indirect talks.”
He further noted: “Nuclear material remains under the rubble of the bombed nuclear facilities and has not been transferred elsewhere. We suffered damage to buildings and nuclear devices but the technology remains intact.”
On Syria, he stated: “We support Syria’s independence and territorial integrity and condemn Israel’s aggression against it.”
