Positive Iran-Japan Talks Highlighted by Japanese Foreign Minister
Rokna Political Desk: The Japanese Foreign Minister, expressing appreciation for Seyed Abbas Araghchi’s congratulatory message, emphasized that multilayered and constructive dialogues between Iran and Japan, grounded in the longstanding and friendly relations of the two countries, are continuously ongoing.
Toshimitsu Motegi, Japan’s new Foreign Minister, in a message posted on his X page, warmly thanked Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, for his congratulatory note on the occasion of Motegi’s appointment. He wrote: “Multilayered and constructive dialogues between Japan and Iran, based on the longstanding and friendly relations of our two countries, are always ongoing.”
According to Rokna, Motegi added: “I am also committed to holding close discussions with Your Excellency, one of Iran’s most distinguished statesmen with profound knowledge of Japan.”
The Japanese Foreign Minister further stated in his message: “I hope, with utmost willingness, to cooperate with Your Excellency to further strengthen the longstanding and friendly ties between Japan and Iran, which were established through the efforts of our predecessors.”
In the concluding part of his message, Motegi highlighted the importance of stability and peace in the West Asia region for the international community, including Japan, and stressed the essential role of Iran in this regard, stating: “Japan intends to continue its diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.”
