Kazakh President Holds Official Welcoming Ceremony for Iran’s Vice President of Parliament + Video
Rokna Political Desk: The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, formally welcomed Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace, marking the beginning of bilateral talks.
According to Rokna, on Thursday morning, 20 Azar 1404, an official welcoming ceremony for the President of Iran was held by the President of Kazakhstan at the Presidential Palace.
Official Welcoming Ceremony
During the ceremony, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, greeted Masoud Pezeshkian. The event began with the national anthems of both countries, after which the leaders introduced the members of their high-level delegations to each other.
Beginning of Bilateral Talks
Following the conclusion of the welcoming ceremony, bilateral talks between the President of Iran and the President of Kazakhstan commenced. It was also announced that a joint meeting between the high-level delegations of the two countries would be held later.
President’s Arrival in Astana
Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in the city of Astana on Wednesday evening at the official invitation of the President of Kazakhstan. His arrival was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.
Discussion of Ways to Expand Cooperation
During this visit, the President of Iran, in discussions with his Kazakh counterpart, will participate in a joint session of high-level delegations to review the key issues of bilateral cooperation and to explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Signing of Documents and Press Conference
At the conclusion of the talks, the leaders of the two countries will attend a ceremony for the signing of joint cooperation documents, after which they will outline the results of their discussions in a joint press conference.
Side Programs
During this trip, the President of Iran is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the Kazakhstan Medical University and to participate in a joint meeting of Iranian and Kazakh business representatives.
