New Zealand Bans Entry of 40 Iranian Officials
Rokna Political Desk: New Zealand has banned the travel of 40 Iranian officials, including the Interior Minister, Intelligence Minister, and Attorney General, due to recent unrest in Iran; members of the IRGC and individuals associated with foreign malign activities are also included in the ban.
New Zealand, in imposing travel restrictions on 40 Iranian officials in connection with the recent unrest, stated that these bans target, among others, “Eskandar Momeni,” the Interior Minister, “Esmaeil Khatib,” the Intelligence Minister, and “Mohammad Mohemdi Azad,” the Attorney General of Iran.
According to Rokna, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have also been included in these restrictions.
The travel bans further apply to three other Iranian individuals alleged to have been involved in “Iran’s malign activities abroad.”
Those subject to the travel bans will not be permitted to enter or transit through New Zealand.
