Rumors of Turkey Planning to Enter Iranian Territory in Case of a Power Vacuum

It is worth noting that on Tuesday, some foreign media reported that Turkish authorities are updating their emergency plans to address potential consequences of a possible U.S. attack on Iran.
According to the report, Ankara’s main concern is the potential influx of a large wave of refugees into Turkish territory in the event of war or the collapse of the Iranian government, as Turkey is already hosting several million refugees and would find it very difficult to accommodate a new wave of displaced persons.
In this context, it was reported that the considered options include establishing refugee camps at border points or even entering Iranian territory if the Iranian government collapses and a power vacuum emerges, solely as emergency measures to prevent refugees from crossing into Turkey.
