Grossi: We Do Not Have Much Time for an Iran–U.S. Agreement / The Deal Will Be Highly Complex

According to Rokna, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, stated regarding the second round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States held Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland, that both countries demonstrate serious willingness to reach an agreement.

Progress in Geneva Nuclear Talks

In an interview with the French network LCI, Grossi said that the Iran–U.S. nuclear negotiations in Geneva have marked a step forward. He added: “We have achieved progress, but there is still much work to be done, and the problem is that we do not have much time.”

Warning About Time Constraints

The Director General of the Agency stressed that time is passing rapidly and that more serious measures must be taken to reach an agreement. He further noted that, for the first time, discussions have truly begun in a substantive manner, with talks focusing on specific issues and the necessary steps underway.

An Agreement, but with Complex Challenges

Rafael Grossi, pointing to the existing challenges, stated that although both sides in the negotiations are striving to reach an agreement, achieving a final outcome will be highly complex.
