Foreign Ministry Spokesman: No IAEA Inspections Currently Conducted in Iran / Cairo Understanding No Longer Effective
Rokna Political Desk: The spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that no inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are currently taking place in Iran, adding that the Cairo Understanding has lost its effectiveness and practical applicability due to conditions imposed by Western parties.

Ismail Baghaei, the ministry spokesman, stated that “at present, there are no ongoing inspections by the IAEA in Iran. The most recent inspections were carried out at least ten days ago at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant within the framework of the relevant agreement with Russia, as certain technical procedures were required.”
He added, “Any future decisions on this matter will be made by the competent authority — namely, the Supreme National Security Council.”
According to Rokna, Baghaei also noted that “the Cairo Understanding is no longer functional or enforceable because of the circumstances created and effectively imposed by Western parties.”
