U.S. Ready to Negotiate With Iran on a Deal
Rokna Political Desk: Axios also wrote, citing “two regional sources,” that Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are attempting to arrange a meeting in Ankara later this week between Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the U.S. president, and senior Iranian officials.
According to Rokna, the Axios website reported, citing “a senior U.S. official,” that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has conveyed to Iran through several channels that it is prepared to hold a meeting in order to negotiate a deal.
Axios further reported, quoting “two regional sources,” that Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are working to organize a meeting later this week in Ankara between Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the U.S. president, and senior Iranian officials.
Based on this report, “an official from one of these countries” stated that efforts to hold negotiations are ongoing, adding: “We are trying to ensure that an agreement between the United States and Iran is reached.”
