Rokna Political Desk: The transfer of heavy military equipment by forces affiliated with Abu Muhammad Jolani to Aleppo to suppress Kurdish militants has reportedly begun, and in these clashes, a woman has lost her life.
Following confrontations between the Kurdish militants known as the “Syrian Democratic Forces” and security forces affiliated with the Ministry of Defense under Abu Muhammad Jolani, the leader of the insurgents controlling Damascus, the shipment of heavy military equipment to Aleppo by the rebels has commenced.
According to Rokna, sources reported that these military supplies have now reached Jolani’s forces in Aleppo and are being fired at Kurdish forces. The organization known as the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” reported that during these clashes, a woman succumbed to severe injuries.
Additionally, in the mutual fighting in the neighborhoods of al-Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh in Aleppo, seven other civilians were injured. This new figure follows the shelling of al-Sheikh Maqsoud with tanks.
Including the newly injured, the total number of casualties in al-Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh has reached 23. This number is expected to rise due to the ongoing clashes. This situation has heightened fear and panic among the civilian population.
Several residents of al-Khalidiyah, al-Halak, and Bustan al-Basha neighborhoods, fearing the expansion of hostilities and continued targeting of residential areas, have evacuated their homes and moved to safer areas. The Observatory reported that, so far, no precise information on material damage has been released, but the security alert remains in effect.
Local sources reported that Jolani-affiliated forces targeted al-Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh. These attacks coincided with direct clashes on multiple fronts within these two neighborhoods, causing panic among civilians. As a result of these clashes, several key routes have been closed. Fighting between Kurdish elements and Jolani’s forces has intensified. The Observatory stated that heavy weapons are being used in these clashes, further escalating fear and panic among civilians.
