What Is the Reality Behind the Reported Iranian Missile Attack on the Iraqi Kurdistan Region?

News and security sources have denied the alleged Iranian missile attack on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

According to Rokna, the correspondent of Al-Mayadeen Plus in Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq reported on Saturday, quoting sources, that the published reports concerning a missile attack on the region are incorrect.

A well-informed source in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also told Al-Mayadeen: “The reports published regarding an Iranian missile attack on northern Iraq are not accurate.”

He added: “These rumors are being spread by media outlets affiliated with the Zionist enemy.”

Previously, some social media users had claimed that Iran had carried out missile attacks on positions in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
