Iraqi Prime Minister Calls for De-escalation Between Iran and the West Through Dialogue

On Monday, Al Sudani met with kings, presidents, prime ministers, UN and Arab League secretaries-general, as well as former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

According to Rokna, Al Sudani held discussions with the kings of Jordan and Bahrain, the President of the Palestinian Authority, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Cyprus, the German Chancellor, and the prime ministers of the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Armenia.

The Iraqi Prime Minister stressed the importance of de-escalating tensions in the region and globally, advocating for strengthened dialogue and the establishment of solutions based on international law to address the concerns of all parties, including disputes between Iran and Western nations regarding Iran’s nuclear program and other matters.

Leaders also reviewed measures taken to end the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza and emphasized the necessity of continued cooperation to maintain the cessation of hostilities against civilians.

Al Sudani and other leaders highlighted the urgent need for major countries, international organizations, and Arab institutions to take action in rebuilding Gaza and providing essential support for Palestinian civilians.
