Draft of Doha Summit: Normalization Threatened by Attacks on Qatar

According to Rokna, citing Reuters, the draft resolution of the summit—scheduled for today (Monday) in Doha—states that the Israeli aggression against Doha threatens ongoing efforts to normalize relations between the regime and Arab countries.

The draft further notes that continued mass killings, starvation policies, blockades, and settlement expansions jeopardize prospects for peace and coexistence in the region.

It emphasizes that Israeli aggressions endanger all that has been achieved in current and future normalization agreements.

The draft resolution reaffirms the firm commitment of participating states to the sovereignty, independence, and security of all member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The countries strongly condemned the cowardly and illegal Israeli attack on a residential neighborhood in Qatar, firmly rejecting any attempt to justify Israel’s aggression against Qatar under any pretext.

They also declared their absolute opposition to repeated threats by the Zionist regime regarding possible renewed attacks against Qatar or any other Arab or Islamic country.

Additionally, the states expressed support for the efforts of mediating countries—foremost among them Qatar, Egypt, and the United States—aimed at halting Israeli aggressions against the Gaza Strip.
