Greece Announces Recognition of the State of Palestine
Rokna Political Desk: Greece’s Prime Minister, citing Israel’s military operations in Gaza and emphasizing their humanitarian consequences, announced that his country will recognize the State of Palestine and underscored Athens’ independent stance on regional issues.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that Greece’s strategic relations with Tel Aviv will not prevent it from strongly criticizing Israel.
According to Rokna, citing Anadolu, the Greek Prime Minister confirmed that this position represents the government’s official policy and has been publicly declared.
He described Israel’s military operations as causing “unimaginable human suffering and widespread casualties” in Gaza and affirmed that Greece will recognize the State of Palestine.
