End of Shina Ansari’s Trip to COP30 Summit / Iran Emphasizes Climate Justice and Global Cooperation
Rokna Social Desk: With the conclusion of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), the two-day trip of Shina Ansari, Vice President and Head of Iran’s Department of Environment, to the summit has come to an end. During her visit, she outlined Iran’s positions on the necessity of effective and justice-centered action to combat climate change and held more than 11 bilateral meetings with senior international and regional officials.
According to Rokna’s social affairs correspondent, with the conclusion of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), Shina Ansari’s two-day visit to the summit came to a close.
Ansari attended the opening ceremony of the leaders’ summit on behalf of Iran’s President and, in her speech, emphasized the necessity of effective, equitable, and climate-justice-based measures in addressing climate change.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Head of Iran’s Department of Environment held more than 11 bilateral meetings with heads of regional delegations, ministers of environment and climate change, and senior officials of UN-affiliated organizations. The discussions focused on expanding environmental cooperation, transferring clean technologies, and financing climate action in developing countries.
The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) was held with the aim of strengthening global cooperation to address the impacts of climate change.
