Singer Omid Jahan Passes Away at 44 Following Onstage Heart Attack

According to Rokna, Omid Jahan collapsed during his performance in Bam due to a sudden heart attack. He was immediately transferred to hospital but, following cardiac arrest, tragically passed away.

A Look at the Life of Omid Jahan

Omid Pouladi Jahan, better known by his stage name Omid Jahan, was born in February 1982 in Abadan. He was the son of Mahmoud Jahan, a renowned singer of southern Iranian music. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated from Abadan to Bushehr and later to Tehran. Influenced by his father from a young age, Jahan entered the world of music, beginning both singing and instrumental performance in childhood.

He launched his professional career in 2004 with the release of the unofficial album “Pesare Jonoubi” (Southern Boy), which quickly drew public attention. In 2006, he released the album “Papati”, solidifying his status as a well-known figure in Iranian pop music.
