Zelensky Reiterates Ukraine Will Not Cede Territory to Russia Amid Ongoing War

However, Ukrainian authorities have consistently stated that the country’s territorial integrity remains non-negotiable, pointing to Russia’s continued military operations, missile strikes on civilian areas, and occupation of multiple regions.

Zelensky, speaking during a meeting with senior advisers and foreign ambassadors in Kyiv, underscored that any settlement that legitimizes Russia’s control over occupied territory would only encourage further aggression. He stated that Ukraine’s stance is grounded not only in constitutional obligations but also in the security concerns of the entire region.

According to Ukrainian officials, proposals suggesting that Kyiv relinquish control of Crimea or the eastern Donbas region are incompatible with both international law and Ukraine’s national interests.
