Putin–Joulani Relations Under Zeidabadi’s Lens: Is Bashar al-Assad the Next Victim?

According to Iranian analyst Ahmad Zeidabadi, “Vladimir Putin and Ahmad al-Sharaa, the leaders of Russia and Syria, seem to have grown remarkably close. In my view, Bashar al-Assad should be increasingly worried about his life.”

Recent media reports have claimed that Assad was poisoned. “Had Assad sought refuge anywhere else in the world, he would have been safer than in Russia,” Zeidabadi wrote, concluding, “What a ruthless world this has become.”
