Netanyahu Appears in Court as Details Emerge in High-Profile Corruption Case
Rokna Political Desk: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to appear in court on Wednesday to respond to multiple corruption charges, including bribery, fraud, and breach of public trust. The allegations involve accepting gifts worth over 200,000 dollars from wealthy businessmen and granting regulatory favors worth hundreds of millions of dollars to a telecommunications company in exchange for favorable media coverage.

According to reports from Al-Aqsa TV, citing Israel’s Channel 12, Netanyahu will face questioning in several ongoing corruption cases. Prosecutors at the Tel Aviv District Court have already begun cross-examining the prime minister over inconsistencies between his prior testimony and statements made by other witnesses.
The main investigation, which began several months ago, is expected to continue until 2026. Netanyahu, who has been under indictment since 2019, faces multiple cases known as “Case 1000,” “Case 2000,” and “Case 4000.”
Case 2000 involves allegations that Netanyahu struck a deal with Arnon Mozes, publisher of the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, to secure more favorable coverage in exchange for curbing the circulation of rival newspaper Israel Hayom.
