The Role of Soybeans in U.S.-China Economic Tensions, According to Trump
Rokna Political Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticized China’s recent reduction in soybean imports from the United States, calling the move an “economically hostile act.” He urged Washington to consider halting trade with Beijing in edible oil and other sectors in response to what he described as China’s unfair economic policies.

Reacting to Beijing’s move, Trump said, “I believe China is deliberately avoiding the purchase of our soybeans, and this has harmed American farmers. The U.S. government is now reviewing potential retaliatory measures, including suspending trade with China in the edible oil sector and other related industries. We can easily produce edible oil domestically and do not need to import it from China.”
