Trump Announces Imminent Ceasefire Between Israel and Hamas: “The End of a Historic Catastrophe Is Near”
Rokna Political Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement for a ceasefire, marking what he described as the beginning of prisoner exchanges and the first step toward withdrawal, ultimately leading to “the end of a historic catastrophe.”

Trump stated that Israel has approved the initial withdrawal line that was shared with Hamas.
According to Rokna, on Saturday evening, Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social:
“Following negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line that we showed to Hamas and shared with them. Once Hamas confirms, the ceasefire will take immediate effect.”
In a follow-up post featuring an image of the proposed withdrawal line, Trump added:
“Then the exchange of hostages and prisoners will begin, and we will prepare conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us closer to ending this 3,000-year-old catastrophe. Thank you for your attention, and stay tuned!”
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted he had been under “significant pressure” both domestically and internationally to halt the war.
In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Trump also acknowledged:
“Bibi [Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister] went too far in Gaza, and Israel lost a lot of support around the world. Now I want to help him regain all that support.”
