Unveiling the Trump Coin: The Story Behind Its Design
Roknao Political Desk: The U.S. Department of the Treasury has unveiled the preliminary design of a special one-dollar coin commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence, featuring detailed dual portraits of former President Donald Trump.
According to Rokna, one side of the coin depicts a profile of Trump engraved with the words “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” and the dates “1776–2026.” The reverse shows him with a clenched fist beneath the U.S. flag, accompanied by the slogan “War! War! War!”—a phrase Trump reportedly exclaimed immediately following a failed assassination attempt during his 2024 election campaign.
U.S. Treasurer Brandon B. Beech confirmed the authenticity of the designs in a post on X, stating: “No fake news here. These drafts are real and intended to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States.”
The Treasury, however, emphasized that the design is not final and remains part of an ongoing review process.
