Grossi: Agreement with Iran Clarifies Technical Steps for Cooperation

On Monday, Grossi also warned about the dangers of nuclear conflict to global peace and security.

According to Rokna, in his opening address at the 68th IAEA General Conference, Grossi stated: “Current global tensions may drive some countries toward the use of nuclear weapons, and we must avoid this at all costs.”

Regarding the agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he explained: “We signed an agreement with Iran that specifies the technical stages required to resume essential work in the country.”

Al Jazeera, quoting the IAEA Director General, further reported: “We have established a permanent presence at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.”

Grossi added: “We have created pathways to assist those who already use nuclear energy and those who wish to begin utilizing it.”
