Abbas Araqchi Discusses Bilateral and Regional Issues in Interview with Al-Sharq, Qatar
Rokna Political Desk: Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, in an interview with the Qatari newspaper Al-Sharq, highlighted the results of his recent meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, describing the talks as highly productive, serious, and beneficial.

According to Rokna, citing the Government’s official news portal, Araqchi, speaking from Doha, praised the outcomes of his meeting with Emir Tamim and stated: “During this meeting, I conveyed the oral message of President Masoud Pezeshkian to the Emir of Qatar. The meeting was extremely important and influential.”
The discussions examined Iran-Qatar bilateral relations, particularly addressing the misunderstandings that arose following Iran’s actions against the Al Udeid base in Qatar, in the aftermath of U.S. attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Araqchi emphasized that negotiations with both Emir Tamim and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, were very productive, serious, and beneficial.
He added: “During this meeting, we discussed a wide range of topics, beginning with bilateral relations and their latest developments. Fortunately, there are no disputes between the two countries, and the previous misunderstanding has been fully resolved through this visit.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister further noted: “We also exchanged views on strategies to achieve regional stability, particularly the resumption of dialogue among regional countries to ensure security and cooperation in countering Israel’s expansionism and aggression against the region.”
Araqchi continued: “Iran’s nuclear dossier was also examined in detail during this meeting, and I briefed the Emir of Qatar on the latest developments. Our Qatari colleagues have always maintained constructive views, and we have continuously exchanged opinions on these issues. Valuable consultations were conducted during this meeting as well.”
