New York Times: Russia-U.S. Summit a Major Achievement for Putin
Rokna Political Desk: The New York Times has described the summit between Russian and U.S. leaders as a significant step toward ending Vladimir Putin’s three-year diplomatic isolation, evaluating the meeting as an important victory for the Russian president.

According to the newspaper, the Russian leader is no longer in the “diplomatic isolation” imposed on him by the West for three years.
Rokna reports that the New York Times considers the Russia-U.S. summit in Alaska a diplomatic victory for Vladimir Putin, the Russian president.
The newspaper wrote: “This meeting was an extensive and unprecedented diplomatic effort by Trump and is considered a victory for Mr. Putin.”
It noted that the Russian leader is no longer subject to the “diplomatic isolation” that the West had imposed on him for three years.
Putin and Trump met on Saturday in Alaska. The two leaders held talks at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage. The summit lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Present at the meeting were Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
From the United States, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Trump’s Special Representative Steven Witkoff attended.
