Rokna: The details of Master Farshchian’s burial ceremony have been announced.

According to Rokna, after years of painting the canvases of Shiite devotion, Master Mahmoud Farshchian has now departed this mortal world; however, the resting place of this great artist not only reflects his long-standing bond with art but is also the result of a significant change in his final will — a change that has focused attention on a particular site in Isfahan.
Master Mahmoud Farshchian, the transcendent artist who spoke the language of color and light with a celestial voice, passed away today, on the eve of Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
His heart, which always beat within the radiant depictions of Ashura, now rests in the gathering of the bereft Lord without a shroud. His shadow remains immortal upon the walls of time, and his paintings are mirrors of a heart that portrayed the secrets of love. Farewell, painter of love, who with every brushstroke revived an epic, and now has become eternal in the sanctuary of love.
NoorNews expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of this great and beloved artist to his honorable family, the Iranian artistic community, and all lovers of culture and spirituality. Master Farshchian not only gave life to colors but also, with his divine art, narrated the stories of Ashura in an unparalleled language, connecting eager hearts to a world of light and love.
His memory and name will forever serve as a guiding light for the exalted art of Iran.
May the soul of Master Farshchian be accompanied by mercy and peace among the righteous and the faithful.
Master Farshchian’s Will Regarding His Burial Site
Sajjad Mohammadyarzadeh, the plenipotentiary representative of Mahmoud Farshchian in Iran and president of the Farshchian University, spoke about the burial ceremony, stating: According to Master Farshchian’s last will, his body is to be buried beside the tomb of Saeb Tabrizi in Isfahan, following the funeral procession from the Isfahan School of Fine Arts, where the master began his artistic training.
In response to the question regarding the artist’s prior will to be interred at the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad, he said: Yes, that was his previous wish, but in recent discussions, the master’s preference shifted toward the “motherland,” and in his last informal instructions to me, he emphasized Saeb Tabrizi’s tomb.
Master Farshchian’s written will, which he regarded as final and unalterable, designates the tomb of Saeb, the renowned Iranian poet in Isfahan, as his burial place.
Timing of the Funeral and Burial Ceremony
Mohammadyarzadeh concluded by stating that as soon as the flight permissions are granted, the master’s body will be transferred from the United States to Dubai, and then to Isfahan. Plans have also been made to hold a ceremony in Tehran, the timing of which will be announced.
