According to published reports, Noban Fashandi, the lawyer representing the mother of Vahideh Mohammadi-Far, announced that the Supreme Court has issued its final verdict. This ruling confirms the previous judgment of the Criminal Court Branch One of Alborz Province, under which one of the defendants was sentenced to death (qisas), and the remaining defendants were sentenced to prison terms.

According to the lawyer in the case, the legal heirs of this sorrowful incident, by formally renouncing the right to retribution, have called for the full execution of alternative punishments.
