Iran: Takfiri terrorism source of bloodshed, insecurity in region

"Today I recorded my sympathy & condolences in the Afghanistan Embassy following the barbaric attack on Kabul University which claimed lives of 20+ innocent students," Araqchi wrote on his Twitter account after signing a memorial book at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tehran on Wednesday.

"Takfiri terrorism has only produced bloodshed & insecurity everywhere in the region & beyond," he added.

He wrote in the memorial book of the victims of Kabul’s Monday terror attack that takfiri terrorism has no limitation for committing crimes, IRNA reported.

“From Afghanistan to Iraq and Syria and other Islamic countries, and from West Asia to North Africa and the Caucasus and even the Europe, it has only brought instability and insecurity and made people mourn,” Araqchi noted.

He added that Iran is standing by the Afghan people and government in fighting terrorism and reaching peace and reconciliation.

Araqchi further wished blessings for those who have been killed and patience for their bereaved families.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Kahtibzadeh on Tuesday condemned the tragic terrorist attack on Kabul University which left 40 killed and wounded.

The Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the tragic attack which was the second assault on an educational institution in Kabul in as many weeks.

Last week two dozen people, mostly students, lost their lives as an educational center in western Kabul was targeted in an attack claimed by the Daesh terrorist group.
