Confidential Message from Bin Salman to the UAE
Rokna Political Desk: An English-language media outlet has reported on a confidential message from the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia addressed to the National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates.
According to Rokna, citing the English website Middle East Eye reported that Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, sent a lengthy and confidential message to Tahnoun bin Zayed, National Security Advisor of the UAE, criticizing the country’s role in Sudan and Yemen.
The report states that the message, sent several weeks ago, contained Riyadh’s complaints about the UAE and proposed mediation by Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense.
The message indicated that Saudi Arabia can no longer tolerate the conflict in Sudan in light of the UAE’s support for the Rapid Response Forces in that country. The Saudi military presence in Yemen, considering attacks by elements of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council, is deemed a necessity for the kingdom’s national security.
American and Western officials familiar with the content of the message confirmed that it was unsigned, although Washington believes it was sent by bin Salman.
In the message, bin Salman emphasized that Saudi Arabia considers the UAE’s action of sending military equipment to Yemen without Riyadh’s consent as a red line.
