Video | Turks Astonished by the Power of the Khorramshahr-4 Missile / US Warships Are Vulnerable Against Iran
Rokna Political Desk: A military affairs expert in Turkey claimed that over the past three decades, Iran, by focusing on the development of its missile and drone capabilities, has reached a level of deterrence capable of challenging advanced defense systems.
According to Rokna, the Turkish analyst, referring to what he described as a “tightrope-walking strategy,” stated: “While the West’s focus over recent years has been on Iran’s nuclear program, Tehran has simultaneously and quietly expanded and upgraded its missile and drone arsenal.”
He claimed that Iran’s missile capability has now reached a level that, in some areas, is comparable to that of major military powers, adding: “In the event of the simultaneous launch of a large number of ballistic missiles, including Khorramshahr, the defensive systems of US aircraft carriers would come under extremely heavy pressure.”
The expert also emphasized that the issue of “defense system saturation” is one of the main challenges facing aircraft carriers in the event of large-scale missile attacks.
It is worth noting that the Khorramshahr missile is considered one of Iran’s medium-range ballistic missiles which, according to official announcements, is capable of carrying a heavy warhead. US officials have previously stated that the country’s aircraft carriers are equipped with advanced missile defense systems and multiple layers of protection.
These remarks are made at a time when regional tensions and military rivalries in the Middle East continue, and various analyses are being published regarding the balance of naval and missile power in the region.
