Qatar: Al-Thani Highlights Diplomacy as Key to Middle East Security During Tehran Visit
Rokna Political Desk: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the country, in a meeting with Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized the necessity of strengthening regional cooperation to reduce tensions, supporting peaceful solutions, and preventing the imposition of the consequences of military conflicts on the people of the region.
According to Rokna, the official statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, visited Tehran and met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, to discuss the latest regional developments.
This meeting, held to examine solutions for reducing tensions in the Middle East, highlighted the necessity of strengthening diplomatic dialogue and cooperation among regional countries to stabilize security and maintain stability.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in its announcement that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in the meeting reiterated Doha’s firm support for peaceful solutions to regional crises and emphasized that strengthening security and stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy.
It was also stressed during the meeting that regional countries must, through collective efforts and international coordination, prevent the imposition of the consequences of military and security conflicts on the innocent people of the region.
The Prime Minister of Qatar further emphasized the need for coordination with brotherly and friendly countries to resolve disputes through diplomatic channels and to avoid confrontational approaches.
