Saudi Fighter Jets Carry Out More Than 15 Airstrikes on Southern Yemen

According to Rokna, sources said that more than 15 Saudi airstrikes targeted the Zubaid area, the birthplace of Aidarus al-Zubaidi. Sources within the Southern Transitional Council of Yemen stated that in the Saudi attacks on the Zubaid area, more than 25 people, including several women and children, were killed and wounded.

Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition had announced that it had conducted pre-emptive strikes in Al-Dhalea province.

The spokesperson for the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces also reported the disappearance of the head of the Southern Transitional Council of Yemen, stating that military movements affiliated with the council had compelled the coalition to carry out pre-emptive security measures.

Eastern and southern Yemen have recently witnessed an escalation of tensions between Saudi-backed forces and the United Arab Emirates-backed Southern Transitional Council. Following Saudi Arabia’s request for the UAE to withdraw its forces from Hadramout and Al-Mahra provinces, Saudi-backed forces were able to take control of these two provinces.
