One Million Dollar Reward for Heroic Fruit Vendor in Sydney
Rokna Political Desk: Ahmed Al-Ahmad, a fruit vendor residing in Sydney, captured global attention with his courageous action in disarming one of the perpetrators of the Australia shooting; nearly one million dollars has been raised in support of him so far.
While the brave action of a Sydney-based fruit vendor in disarming one of the shooters in Australia has drawn the attention of international news media, reports indicate that nearly one million dollars has been collected as a reward for him.
According to Rokna, the Daily Mail reported that nearly one million dollars has so far been raised for the hero who was injured while disarming one of the shooters at Bondi Beach.
The 43-year-old fruit vendor, named Ahmed Al-Ahmad, a father of two and resident of Sydney, calmly approached one of the shooters on the day of the incident and suddenly snatched the shotgun from him. According to the Daily Mail, prior to this brave action, he told his cousin: “I’m going to die; tell my family that I saved lives.”
The cousin of this heroic fruit vendor said, “Ten minutes before the incident, we needed coffee. The situation was completely chaotic. We were behind cars and could see people getting shot near us.” The 43-year-old fruit vendor is now undergoing surgery due to his injuries.
Reports indicate that at least 16 people have lost their lives in this Sydney incident so far, and dozens more have been seriously injured.
