I Am Eager to Reach an Agreement with Iran / Tehran Also Willing to Negotiate with Us

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said: “We get along very well with him (Benjamin Netanyahu). He has undoubtedly been a wartime prime minister.”

According to Rokna, he added: “We took a major action. When we flew with this very beautiful plane, using the B-2 bombers, and now I can use this word because it has been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency — we destroyed their nuclear capability, their potential.”

Trump continued: “Their [weapons] nuclear capability could have been ready in about two months. Some say two weeks. I do not know if it was two weeks or not, but it was a very short period. They were very close to having — massive nuclear weapons.”

He said: “This team came in and did its job. And that made peace possible, because everyone feared Iran. And now no one fears Iran — Iran is willing to reach an agreement with us.”

Trump emphasized: “I am sure they will try to return to [their previous position]. They are very capable people. Maybe they will return, maybe not.”

He warned: “If they want to return and do so without an agreement, we will destroy that as well.”

The U.S. president continued: “It was a major battle. But the key issue was delivering a decisive blow to Iran’s potential nuclear capability — a full-scale strike on their nuclear potential!”

He added: “I think they were targeted so strongly that they may consider trying again, but in my opinion, they no longer want to attempt it.”

Trump concluded: “They really want to reach an agreement with me. And if we can, I also very much want to reach an agreement with them.”
