According to Rokna, the American daily The Wall Street Journal claimed that Donald Trump, in a recent telephone conversation with Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, threatened him to step down from power or face a U.S. military attack on the country.
The telephone conversation between Trump and Maduro took place late last week. This contact occurred as the United States increased its military presence in the Caribbean Sea and intensified diplomatic and military pressure on Venezuela.
Trump today also announced in a social media post the closure of Venezuela’s airspace and warned all airlines not to fly through Venezuelan airspace.
