Iran Releases the Talara Tanker and Its Crew
Rokna Political Desk: Iran has released the Talara tanker, which had been impounded for carrying smuggled fuel, after offloading the illegal cargo and implementing the judicial ruling, along with its 21 crew members.
The American news outlet, quoting the director of Columbia Shipmanagement, reported that the tanker carrying smuggled fuel, which had been seized in the waters of the Persian Gulf, was released today along with all its crew members.
According to Rokna, quoting the Associated Press, the outlet published this report based on statements from the company’s director, while Iranian media had previously reported that the Talara vessel, which had been impounded on Friday, November 14, upon a judicial order in the waters of the Persian Gulf, was released after the execution of the judicial ruling and offloading of the ship’s cargo, and would leave Iranian waters today.
The tanker had been impounded under the order of judicial authorities and in line with safeguarding the interests and resources of the Iranian nation.
