Maduro: The United States Is Seeking to Launch an Airstrike Against Venezuela
Rokna Political Desk: Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, criticizing recent U.S. military movements, said the United States intends to conduct aerial attacks and bombard his country, warning that Venezuela will not become the “new Gaza of South America.”
The Venezuelan president, referring to the military activities of the United States, said Washington is planning to bomb and attack Venezuela.
According to Rokna, Maduro said in remarks on Sunday night: “The government of the United States intends to bomb and attack a Christian nation, our nation.”
According to Venezuela’s VTV network, the president emphasized: “Do the people of the United States want another Afghanistan, Vietnam, Libya, or even a new Gaza in South America?!”
U.S. officials announced last week that the Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier strike group had entered the Latin America region — a move that has significantly heightened the level of military confrontation with Venezuela. The Pentagon claimed in a statement that the operation aims to “disrupt drug trafficking and weaken and eliminate transnational criminal organizations.”
Maduro further stated in his speech: “The United States wants to rule the world, yet it ignores millions of its own people who lack housing, food, or access to education.”
Addressing the U.S. government, he said: “They (American officials) want to save others with weapons. Save yourselves first! We know what to do with Venezuela.”
The Venezuelan president concluded by saying: “Some want to hand this country over to the devils. Do you know who? The extremist Zionist right.”
