Sensitive Talks: Grossi Hosts Iran, Russia, and China

The delegations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, and the People’s Republic of China met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, at international organizations in Vienna yesterday to discuss the forthcoming Board of Governors session.

According to Rokna, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative, wrote after the meeting: “Russia, China, and Iran are the main actors in Iran’s nuclear program.”

He added: “They largely determine how the situation will progress. The three European countries (the United Kingdom, Germany, and France) also have the right to express their views, but their ability to play a constructive role is highly questionable.”

The upcoming IAEA Board of Governors meeting is scheduled to take place from 28 to 30 Aban in Vienna.
