Egypt’s Foreign Minister Holds Phone Talks with Iran’s Araqchi and IAEA Chief on Iran Nuclear Issue

According to Rokna, the official website of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that two phone calls took place on Thursday, October 30, between Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, and Mr. Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, as well as Mr. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA.

The ministry stated that these conversations were held within the framework of following up on developments regarding Iran’s nuclear file and seeking to support regional security and stability by finding peaceful solutions to the Iranian nuclear issue.

According to the same report, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue between the two sides, resuming and strengthening cooperation between Iran and the IAEA based on the agreement signed in Cairo on September 9, and intensifying contacts among the concerned parties in the coming period.

The report added that these calls were made under the directives of Egypt’s President, as part of efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving calm in the Middle East region.
